The first milk with ZERO environmental impact
At Únicla, we work every year to reduce our environmental impact, and we have managed to become the first milk to certify its environmental impact as net-zero regarding carbon emission, fully offsetting the carbon emissions for both its packaging and the production of its one-litre full-cream milk.
We achieve all of this by restoring fire-ravaged forests in our country, specifically in Galicia, our origin, through the agreement signed with the Fundación Arume to offset emissions from milk production. And thanks to our Elopak cartons, which are certified Carbon-Neutral, thus offsetting all the carbon emissions from their manufacturing.
In addition, every year we reduce our carbon emissions into the atmosphere by 20% compared to conventional milks and our cartons and caps are made from renewable forest resources, pine resin, 86% of which is of vegetable origin.
